Fujifilm GFX100s

I’ve decided to make a move from Canon to Fujifilm. Earlier this year I was looking to venture into the realm of mirrorless camera technology. As I was already heavily invested in Canon, I was planning to acquire their R5. However, based on my photographic style, requirements and after significant research, I changed direction and moved into medium format with the Fujifilm GFX100s.

Over the past few months I have been coming to grips with this beast of a camera and have been blown away with the image quality and colour rendition  (16 bit) that this camera produces. By using a TechArt lens adapter, I’ve able to still use my stable of Canon EF glass to extremely good effect on the GFX body and the results have been outstanding. Several of the sunset images in my gallery have been taken with the GFX100s and a combination of Canon glass. 

I’m currently in the process of building a photographic studio and I can’t wait to use the GFX100s for indoor studio portraiture and model work. Watch this space for further developments in the future.  

I’ve replaced the TechArt EF-GF adaptor with the Fringer EF-GF which provides superior functionality and stability. Also, over the past months I’ve been acquiring more GF native glass to complement the GFX100s body. Most recently I added the GF 20-35mm f/4 R WR to the lens which is astounding to my GF lens stable, with plans to add the magnificent GF 55mm f/1.7 R WR in the not too distant future.
