To celebrate International Dance Day, I had the great opportunity to provide musical accompaniment for an Afro Brazilian dance taken by Yovi Lienqueo in Wellington, New Zealand. Although I did take a camera, I had no real expectations of taking any photographs during the class because my focus was fully consumed playing Afro Brazilian music (Ijexa and Samba Reggae). However, during the odd break, I did manage to take a few shots.

Ingrid and Adrian were expecting their first child and commissioned me to capture portraits during the final trimester of the pregnancy. The photoshoot was taken in the picturesque Akatarawa Valley, New Zealand which is north of Wellington at two locations.
The Photographs were captured with my 1DXii with the Sigma 105 f/1.4 DG HSM Art, and my 5Dsr with the Canon 200mm f/1.8 telephoto lens.
It was a chilly and rather unpleasant late Spring afternoon but both Ingrid and Adrian were patient while I captured some stunning photographs that they will remember and share with their daughter.

‘Heart n Roses’ is a bespoke jewellery line created by Deborah Harris from Wellington, New Zealand. Deborah creates amazing handcrafted heart necklace pendants in a variety of colours and sizes for that truly special occasion. Her speciality is weddings (Adorn Bridal Keepsakes), where she will create a unique piece for the bride that matches the colours of her flower bouquet and/or wedding gown creating that very special one of a kind ensemble.
I had the pleasure of meeting Deborah and shooting her creations with Jacqueline and in still life. The attention to detail and colour matching of her jewellery is breathtaking and was a privilege to photographover a series of days. Deborah’s work is in demand and early lead (bespokehearts@gmail.com) times are recommended to not be disappointed.
